Unity and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all other Australians are at the heart of our vision for reconciliation at Wembley Downs Preschool. We recognise and acknowledge the Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land in which we live, learn and play.    We are committed to empower children, educators, and families to lead reconciliation now and into the future.  Through respectfully embedding our teaching of connection, the true histories of Australia, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into our curriculum, we develop and maintain meaningful and ongoing relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community. We respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives into our daily practices and into each fortnightly learning program. Wembley Downs Preschool will lead reconciliation by consulting with local Elders and using inclusive frameworks to guide our practices and curriculum. We believe in celebrating the rich heritages of the oldest continuing cultures and recognising the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.  Â
