Our vision for reconciliation is a community and country that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. and a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations. At the moment the working group is beginning our journey of connecting with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community through local community events which the working group is attending and participating in. This is building our presence, understanding, knowledge as we begin to engage in social communication with community/event organisers.  Our goal as an early childhood service, is to respectfully embed in our daily practices, diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives that speak to the ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We will continue to use our RAP as a guide to cultivate inclusion and reconciliation, and share this with the children, families and staff within our service and in the greater community.    As an early childhood community, we understand the significant role we play in reconciliation within the education context by recognising the benefits that arise from this.   We will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and share stories of their ongoing contributions in our everyday practices and learn from the past and continue to make amends for a better present and future for our children and communities.
