Our vision at Kiddiwinks Warriewood is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to feel a sense of belonging in our service and to see themselves, their identities and cultures reflected in our learning environments. We commit to contributing to all childrens learning journeys including their right to know about First Nations peoples true histories, cultures and contributions. We aim for all our educators to have an understanding of their pedagogical philosophy, practice and approach to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives for the children in their care. We strive to share, learn from and collaborate with all communities on the journey to reconciliation, and to create a culturally responsive and inclusive environment for all First Nations children. Our reconciliation journey will be strengthened as we aim tot build respectful relationships with First Nations community members and learn about their cultures and histories, including the Traditional Custodians of the Land our service is on, the Garigal Peoples.
