VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Nido Early School Iluka, we commit to seamlessly and respectfully incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday curriculum, rituals and routines. We commit to displaying our respect for the Whadjuk People, the Traditional Custodians of the Joondalup area, which is visible within our service. We aim to ensure that through our commitment to reconciliation, there will be a shared appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures among our Educators, Children and Families. We recognise and respect the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as part of our shared national story and identity. We commit to developing a greater understanding of this and to working towards respectfully embedding Australia’s true histories, active acknowledgement of Country, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and contributions into our curriculums and routines.
