VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to build a space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, staff, and non-Indigenous people alike feel valued and respected. We are committed to acknowledging Australias true histories and learning about the cultures and rich traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, fostering understanding and respect. We promote equality, equity, and inclusivity for everyone, ensuring that our programs are free from bias and discrimination. We will work closely with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to thoughtfully integrate their perspectives into our activities, take meaningful actions toward reconciliation, and create a culturally safe and welcoming environment. We will empower our staff and children to engage in this journey, while continually reflecting on and improving our efforts toward reconciliation. Our ultimate goal is to make reconciliation a lived experience, celebrating the diversity and cultures of the First Peoples of Australia, and demonstrating our commitment to justice, equality, and equity for all children.
