At Edge Early Learning Hallett Cove, our vision for reconciliation is to create and maintain a learning community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and voices are respected, celebrated, and meaningfully embedded in everything we do. We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, and we honour their enduring connections to Country, culture, and community.  We strive to build an environment where children develop a strong sense of belonging, cultural understanding, and appreciation for First Nations peoples. Our commitment is to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are woven through our curriculum, environment, and daily practices in authentic and culturally respectful ways.  Our vision includes forming genuine connections with local Elders, families, and community members as we develop our learning and deepen our knowledge. We empower our educators through ongoing cultural responsiveness development and reflective practice, ensuring they feel confident to uphold reconciliation thoughtfully and respectfully.  Through meaningful experiences, celebrations, language, and storytelling we support children, educators and families to grow into compassionate, inclusive, and culturally aware citizens. Together with our families and community, we walk forward with respect, understanding, and unity as we strengthen our shared commitment to reconciliation.  As educators, families, and children, we commit to learning from the wisdom, culture, and traditions of the First Nations peoples and to walking together in the spirit of respect, understanding, and reconciliation.
