Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Early Learning, Kauandilla, (Cowandilla)
Here at Goodstart, Kauandilla we are part of a diverse country, and we are committed to being a welcoming, inclusive and culturally responsive place for all peoples, with a strong focus on respecting and celebrating First Nations Cultures. We actively embed the respectful inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's histories, cultures, and contributions in our educational programs.
We recognise, respect and understand that the Kaurna Pople are the Traditional Owners of Tarndany, (Adelaide Plains), where our service community learns and grows in understanding together each day.
We support all educators in deepening their understanding of the rich cultures and histories of local First Nations peoples and the significance of reconciliation.
We understand the importance of building relationships with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to enable us to respectfully work together to create a living Reconciliation Action Plan with a clear vision of the steps we need to take towards a reconciled Australia.
Through learning from the past and engaging in the present, we are empowered to forge a strong, inclusive future together.
We continue to build respectful relationships with First Nations families, organisations and members of our community.
