VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Leichhardt Park Early Learning Centre, we envision a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and perspectives are valued, respected, and embedded in everything we do. We believe reconciliation is a journey of truth-telling, respect, and healing that begins in early childhood and is strengthened through meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community. We are committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children can grow with a strong sense of identity, belonging, and connection to Country. We recognise the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we play, learn, and grow, and we honour their enduring connection to Country, community, and culture. Our vision is to foster curiosity, empathy, and cultural understanding in every child by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum, practice, and community partnerships. Through collaboration, respect, and continuous learning, we will empower our team, children, and families to take part in a shared journey of reconciliation, contributing to a future that celebrates diversity, equity, and unity.
