VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Early Learning Daisy Hill, our vision for reconciliation is to build strong respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples of Australia.

Our vision is to embed Jagera and Yugambeh culture and perspectives into every aspect of our service through our practice, the environment, and implementation of our curriculum. We will actively encourage children to learn about Yugambeh culture and ways of caring for the Land as we endeavour to build a connection to Country as the Jagera and Yugambeh people did many years before us and continue to do so today.

We work to create a safe space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families feel comfortable leaving their children and put their trust in us that we will respect their cultures and promote it within our service. We commit to working together to provide equal and equitable educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people, ensuring the living cultures, stories and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are respectfully embedded and acknowledged by all Australians as part of our national story. We will continue to take action, not just in during NAIDOC National Reconciliation Weeks but every week of the year.
