VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Woosh, it is important to us that we strive towards strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and non- Indigenous people. To create a united, equal, equitable and respectful future in our service, our school community and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Communities, we need to acknowledge the past and increase our knowledge of the rich and diverse cultures of First Nations Peoples. To help facilitate this, we actively pay respect to the First Nations Community members in our daily practices and routines , providing educators, Children and young people with opportunities to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's histories, cultures,  and languages. We  enhance our educators, children and young people's understanding of the challenges First Nations People's continue to endure, since colonisation and how we can education ourselves and service community to bring about a greater understanding on the importance of reconciliation for the good of all peoples. With acceptance, tolerance and positive cultural attitudes we can begin to move forward in our efforts as a service towards reconciliation
