At Greenfield Early Learning Centre Truganina, we commit to walking respectfully alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as we learn, reflect and grow together on our reconciliation journey. We envision a learning community where the cultures, histories and knowledges of the First Peoples of Australia are acknowledged, and respectfully embedded in meaningful ways. We strive to create a culturally safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community members feel respected, heard and honoured. We believe that early childhood education plays a vital role in shaping attitudes of fairness, respect and inclusion. By embedding First Nations perspectives into our curriculum, daily practices and relationships, we nurture childrens understanding of Country, culture and community, supporting them to develop empathy and a strong sense of social responsibility. We are committed to building genuine, respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, guided by listening, learning and collaboration. Through shared experiences, open dialogue and continuous reflection, we will take meaningful action toward reconciliation. Together, we aspire to contribute to a more just, inclusive and reconciled Australia for current and future generations.
