Kidz Mob Taabinga is committed to strengthening practices and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures into all of our educational programs and decision-making processes. Kidz Mob Taabinga's vision for reconciliation is a culturally safe, inclusive environment for children, educators, parents and the wider community.
We aim to provide high quality, culturally appropriate programs for school aged children throughout our service and build meaningful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Elders. We will support children through our programs to acknowledge and learn about Australia's shared histories, and the inter-generational impacts that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have faced since colonisation.
We will create an environment that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, promoting a culture that fosters equality, equity and historical acceptance of our shared histories. We aim to guide and actively encourage our Outside School Hours Care sector to reflect and improve the expectations on OSHC services around the respectful embedding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures through the National Quality Standards (NQS).
