Only About Children Southbank is committed to reconciliation and fostering positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people.  

We strive for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to feel welcome and supported in an inclusive, equitable, and culturally respectful environment. Recognising the role of early education in reconciliation, we will collaborate with First Nations peoples in the local community, seeking opportunities to amplify their voices respectfully. We will provide ongoing education, supporting staff to be culturally aware and responsive.  

We are dedicated to supporting non-Indigenous educators, children, and families to learn about and respect the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations peoples. Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia where  all children understand and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, contributing to a nation of equal equitable opportunities and outcomes. We aspire to a healed national soul, where First Nations peoples and cultures are acknowledged, respected and represented.
