At Little Learners Day Care Centre, we envision an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are respected as the First Peoples of this land, and their cultures, histories, and contributions are valued and celebrated. Reconciliation in our organisation means creating culturally safe, inclusive spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and staff feel heard, welcomed, and respected. We are committed to equal and equitable access to education and to respectfully embedding First Nations peoples’ perspectives across our programs and practice. Our Reconciliation Action Plan aligns with Reconciliation Australia’s themes of relationships, respect, and opportunities, and reflects our values of cultural inclusion, child safety, equity, and community participation. We recognise reconciliation as a continuous journey. We will keep listening, learning, and growing—building respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and fostering knowledge-sharing throughout our centre. We remain dedicated to deepening awareness and appreciation of the world’s oldest living cultures across our community.
