Our Commitment to reconciliation mirrors our values of respect for diversity, inclusion, advocating the rights of the children, justice, honesty and courage. Our goal towards reconciliation is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives are embedded respectfully and deeply throughout the centre and are entrenched in our being, belonging and becoming.
In support of a sustainable and meaningful reconciliation, Kids Academy Rivett welcomes all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and remains committed to sourcing and attending opportunities to increase staff and community awareness of the longstanding and continuous contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
By establishing a better understanding and respect of Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories, we will develop an enriched appreciation of Australia's cultural heritage and more towards the maturity of Australia as a nation. This will lead to the development of a national identity based on mutual respect, trust, and reconciliation.
