At Great Beginnings Hammond Park our vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge and embrace an accurate history of Australia, and to embed an authentic and respectful approach to educating our children on the cultures, perspectives and ways of First Nations People. Our aspiration is to create a culturally inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices are heard, valued, and celebrated. We will actively seek opportunities to engage with Elders and community members, learn from their knowledge and traditions, and embed their perspectives into our everyday practices and curriculum. We believe that fostering a sense of inclusiveness and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives is an integral part in embarking on our reconciliation journey and that this will contribute to our nation's overall path to reconciliation.
