Reconciliation is about unity and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. As educators, we will continue to respectfully learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories and provide equal and equitable opportunities for educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.   We will strive to create culturally responsive and safe learning environments to create a sense of belonging with honesty, authenticity and integrity. We will always be mindful to respectfully include the perspectives of First Nations families in the community within our practices. We understand the importance of culture, historical perspectives, and the respectful inclusion of First Languages for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and all children, in the development of identity and self-worth. We are committed to positively reflecting and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's identities, in our desire for all children to thrive.   We believe that in order to reconcile we must strive to respectfully learn, unlearn and relearn about diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and perspectives. We are committed to doing this through embedding First Nations perspectives in our curriculum and respectfully teaching about the true histories, cultures, and ways of being and knowing for First Nations peoples. Promoting inclusion and respect for diversity is a big part of the reconciliation process and how we can as a service make a difference to the community around us.   When people have a better understanding of the world around them it then provides opportunities for continuous embedded practices that value reconciliation within the community and its surroundings.
