At Pelican childcare Newbury Boulevard our vision for reconciliation is to teach the children in our centre the true histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will strive to do this by educating and building on our own understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures. We strive to embed respectful practices, actively listening to and respecting the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our service is built on, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. As an organisation G8 education vision for reconciliation is an Australia where the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, knowledges and cultures are valued and respected. We are committed to reconciliation by striving to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, listening, learning and collaborating with our communities to build genuine connections.
