East Gosford Early Learning recognises the Traditional Custodians of the Land and Waterways and pays respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. We specifically acknowledge the Darkinjung People, on whose Land our service is located, and we recognise the diverse Lands from which our families come. Our vision is to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in a shared journey of learning, respect and connection. We are committed to fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded meaningfully in our practices, play spaces and learning goals. We aim to ensure these perspectives are visible throughout our service and reflected in our relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community. We are committed to building and maintaining respectful partnerships with the Darkinjung People and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, as we continue to deepen our cultural responsiveness and embed genuine, ongoing reconciliation in our everyday work.
