VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Country Children's Early Learning is committed to continuing to integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our Services through ongoing education and reflection of our practices for staff, children, families and the wider community.    We will create a sense of belonging through enabling all who attend our Services to engage in equal and equitable opportunities.  We will continue to challenge our educational practices to ensure that we are facilitating genuine opportunities for connection to Country and acknowledgement and respect for the living culture of the First Nations peoples. This commitment goes beyond compliance, as we actively embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across all aspects of our curriculum, environment, and service culture. We will endevour to build meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and we will continually seek opportunities to listen to and learn from First Nations People, to deepen our understanding of the histories, cultures and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.   We will also create ongoing opportunities for children to engage in authentic cultural learning, celebrate significant events, and explore the histories, languages, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Families and community members are invited to collaborate with us in this journey, ensuring that reconciliation is lived and visible in our service.
