Reconciliation, to us, means building meaningful relationships, respect, and understanding between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.  It is about acknowledging the past, embracing truth-telling, and working together to create a more inclusive and equitable future. At Child's Play ELC Torquay, reconciliation is respectfully embedded into  our daily practices, curriculum, and learning environments.  We honor the Traditional Owners of the Land, acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We will ensure that children, staff, families and the wider community develop a deep respect for the histories, knowledge, and contributions of First Nations peoples.   Through education, engagement, and meaningful action, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and connection for all.
