At Inspire Early Learning Journey Pakenham, our vision for reconciliation is a future where all AustraliansAboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and non-Indigenousare united through mutual respect and understanding. We envision an early learning community that actively acknowledges the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, on whose land we live, learn, and grow. Through our relationships, curriculum, and everyday practice, we aim to foster a strong sense of belonging to our service community, Â truth-telling and an understanding of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We are committed to building respectful partnerships with First Nations peoples and meaningfully embedding their perspectives into our service in authentic and meaningful ways. Our journey toward reconciliation is ongoing. We recognise this is not a single act, but a sustained commitment to learning, reflection, and actionso that the children in our care, our educators and families develop a deep appreciation of the oldest continuing cultures in the world and become advocates for equity, equality and inclusion. As a learning community, we are committed to walking together in the spirit of reconciliation. We strive to learn from First Nations voices and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our daily practice, environments, and relationships with children and families.
