C&K Coomera Community Kindergarten

Our vision for reconciliation is creating a community of learners embracing equality, equity, and historical acceptance of the shared histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. 

In the context of our service, C&K Coomera: 

We honour and deepen our understanding of First Nations people’s ways of being, knowing and doing. 

Educators proactively build respectful partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members that progress the meaningful understanding of First Nations peoples and histories. 

 We strive to develop true and meaningful networks with the Bullongin people and Yugambeh language group of people and the wider community. 

We value and respect the diversity of First Nations peoples, inclusion and advocating for the rights of all children. 

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture and perspectives are respectfully embedded and visible in both the physical environment and the practices of the program. 

We acknowledge that the RAP is a living continual document that evolves and changes with people, time, and learning.
