VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Artemis Early Learning, reconciliation means walking together in respect, understanding and shared purpose with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It acknowledges the ongoing impacts of past and present injustices and honours the richness, resilience and ongoing contributions of First Nations peoples, languages, cultures and knowledge. Our vision is to build and walk together in learning, to respectfully embed Ngunnawal voices, stories and perspectives into everyday practice, and to nurture a genuine sense of belonging for every child, family and educator. We are committed to embedding Ngunnawal language and knowledge authentically within our programs and daily routines, through meaningful engagement with local Elders and First Nations community members, and creating learning environments that reflect and celebrate the living culture of the Ngunnawal people. A reconciled community is one where the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures is woven into everyday life, where cultural exchange is embraced, and where every person; whether child, family or educator, feels valued, connected and proud of their identity and place in the world. Let us walk together on a path of reconciliation, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children, families and educators feel valued, connected and proud to learn from the stories of this Land.
