VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

North Fremantle SOEL recognises the Whadjuk Nyoongar peoples as the Traditional Owners of the Walyalup area.  We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the sovereign people of the Land that we learn, play, and grow on. We continue learning about the First Peoples of Australia and respectfully embedding reflection and improving practices that align with creating a better future for all Australians. We know our goals for supporting and creating a more sustainable future will be fruitful if we continue to learn, recognise and respect the stories and advice from Noongar people.

We are committed to equal and equitable educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ and non-Indigenous people, respectfully including First Nations perspectives into all we do and supporting children to learn about Australia's histories. We understand that reconciliation is a shared responsibility and take great pride in being able to support the children, families, and wider community to come together as one as we walk on the reconciliation journey.
