Reconciliation is the foundation of our philosophy and curriculum. We are committed to building strong, healthy, and respectful relationships with First Nations People, creating pathways for all children, families, and communities to thrive together.Â
We dedicate ourselves to learning about and acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, perspectives, and the true histories of Australia. We acknowledge the ongoing impact of intergenerational trauma and approach this learning with sensitivity and respect, creating culturally safe spaces where First Nations perspectives are valued and heard.Â
Each day we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land, but these aren't empty wordsthey guide our actions. With children, we reflect on what it means to care for people, animals, and Country. Through Caring for Country, we explore sustainability and environmental responsibility as both practical necessity and profound cultural value.Â
We envision a reconciled Australia where First Nations voices lead national conversations and decision-making, where recognition and sovereignty are honoured through meaningful frameworks like treaty. We strive for true equity where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples share the same life chances, free from systemic racism in justice, healthcare, and other institutions.Â
Our programs remain intentionally equitable, ensuring all First Nations families can access equal opportunities. We're nurturing the next generation to carry forward reconciliationnot as a destination, but as an ongoing journey of learning, growth, and healing.Â
This vision guides every day of learning, every conversation, and every relationship we build. Together, we're creating foundations for a future where every voice is heard, every person is valued, and we stand united and connected in hope.Â
