Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Dunsborough is for unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. We will respect and a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations. We commit to building genuine relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We will respectfully embed First Nations perspectives into daily learning and create a culturally safe environment that is equitable, and a place where all children and families feel valued and connected. This will ensure that we are moving from historical acceptance to practical action for equality and self-determination, Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
