Teen Family Centre's vision is to creat a culturally safe and nurturing environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children, with authentic and appropriate resources that recognise the diversity of First Nations peoples, cultures and heritages. Our goal for reconciliation is to create strong relationships within the local First Nations community that live on Whadjuk Country to make meaningful connections and respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our centre. Our vision is for all our educators to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and histories and where appropriate, to share this knowledge, respectively, with children and young parents and families within the service.
