VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Kids College, we recognise that it is vital for children to grow up with a deep understanding of, and respect for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions. This means not only learning the truths of Australias shared histories but also honouring the wisdom, resilience, and richness of the worlds oldest living cultures.  Our vision is to nurture a culture of respect, inclusivity, and cultural responsiveness within our centre. We strive to create an environment where children, families, and educators come together in peace and harmony to  build meaningful connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.  By ensuring our educators are knowledgeable and part of the reconciliation journey, we will embed these values into our daily practice, and  lay the foundations for children to grow into future leaders of reconciliation, children who carry forward respect, compassion, and cultural awareness. In turn, these children will share their knowledge with their families and the wider community, contributing to a more united, respectful, and reconciled Australia.
