VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Aberfoyle Hub Community Childrens Centres vision for reconciliation is to respect Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains, Kaurna Land.

We will continue to provide opportunities for children, educators and families to gain a meaningful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and acknowledge their ongoing connection to the Land on which we play and learn. We envision an environment where everyone, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, educators and community feel welcome and respected.

We will continue to support all children learn about, and respect, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and perspectives. We will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives and histories deeply in the service, entrenched in how we support children in their being, belonging, and becoming.

We continue to develop children and family's knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and perspectives as the First Peoples of Australia with respect, understanding and acceptance.
