At Goodstart Paralowie Yalumba Drive, our passionate team of educators are deeply committed to our ongoing Reconciliation Action Plan Journey. Together, we continue to grow our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, reflect on our practices, and strengthen our role as advocates for reconciliation within our service and wider community. Guided by our core values which are diversity, inclusion, child rights advocacy, justice, honesty and courage, we aim to create and maintain a culturally responsive learning environment where every child feels a strong sense of identity, belonging, and respect. We respectfully and meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives into daily life of our centre. Through collaboration with families, Elders, First Nations community members, and the wider local community, and by engaging in ongoing professional learning, we ensure our practices are informed, current, and culturally safe. Our vision is to build strong, lasting relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ensure their voices are heard and celebrated. We aspire for all children to grow up with an understanding of and deep respect for First Nations peoples and cultures, shaping their sense of Being, Belonging, and Becoming in a way that values truth, connection, and family.
