Our vision for reconciliation is based around the concepts of equality, equity, systemic race relations and integrity, unity and togetherness, and historical acknowledgement and influences.  We believe that in order to make progress towards true reconciliation and harmony, we need to view all elements as part of a whole, influencing each other, the community, and individuals.  It is important to us and our view on reconciliation that:Â
The cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are acknowledged, respected, valued, and affirmed through all areas of society; The rights of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are recognised, protected and enshrined through Australian Law and legislation, and in consultations with the communities that these laws affect, and; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and all children, are protected, supported and respected for their agency, autonomy, and interdependence, that they are given equitable opportunities to lead integrated, healthy, meaningful and safe lives, in ways which embrace and sustain their connections to their culture, families and country. Â
We recognise and value the deep, enduring connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have with the lands, waters, peoples, languages and communities, and respect their diverse cultures, histories, kinships, traditions and spirituality.  Â
Through this RAP and the actions, we will take, we are committing to continuous, dynamic, and responsive engagement, and will work towards embedded practices that reflect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander pedagogies that are integrated with the Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being and Becoming.  Â
We also commit to continued and extended professional development and support for all educators and staff to support them in their journey and understanding of reconciliation and how to implement programs and practices that reflect this vision. Â
