VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At il nido Children’s Centre, we acknowledge the privilege of caring for, and learning alongside, the children, families, and Kaurna communities of the Land on which we live and work. We respect the richness of diversity and the wisdom of the First Educators of this Country, honouring the deep cultural knowledges and connections to Country that they bring to the community.

We are committed to respecting the cultural identities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, promoting a safe and inclusive environment where bias is challenged, and all voices are heard. Through respectful partnerships between our service and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we strive to foster a space that encourages mutual understanding, belonging, and the recognition of all cultures.

We believe that through promoting and educating about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives and cultures, we can create a community where every child feels valued and supported, and where inclusivity is woven into the fabric of our daily interactions. Together, we strive to create a future where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children can grow, learn, and thrive within the rich diversity of our shared community.
