As a Centre that is in Australia, we believe that it is important that all children and educators know who the First Nation Peoples of Australia are. It is important that they know the correct history of this country and have a pride in the legacy that First Nations people have done and their connection with this Land.  Â
We believe that it is every child's right to build connections and learn about the First Nation Peoples of Australia and to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.  We acknowledge that we have so much to learn on the journey to become culturally responsive and aware of the need to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners and non-Aboriginal learners.  Our position of influence within the community makes our responsibility for improving our knowledge and cultural awareness essential to move forward towards reconciliation.Â
