Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Jensen is committed to ongoing learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and contemporary affairs and aspirations.
We work to promote equal and equitable opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Our vision is that our commitment to reconciliation will facilitate positive change in current and future generations. Developing awareness, knowledge and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories will reap benefits among all children from an early age. Exploring issues of fairness, justice, equality and equity, we hope to develop a sense of social justice in future generations, leading to a better, fairer society in which reconciliation will thrive.
We aspire to provide a high standard of education to all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, that will lay a foundation for future successes. We will focus on children's strengths and value their families, cultures, and languages.
Our focus for the next 12 months is on building reciprocal relationships with the Wulgurukaba and Bindal communities to better embed this work and ensure that local voices are prioritised.
