Community Kids Heatly is dedicated to engaging respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organizations and communities to uphold their rights. 

We acknowledge that the legacy of colonization has led to the systematic disadvantage and marginalization of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through various government policies. It is crucial to recognize the resilience and strength demonstrated by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in overcoming discrimination, while also celebrating their vital contributions to fostering a shared national identity and unity. 

Community Kids Heatley emphasizes the unique identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia by honoring their cultures and histories, which are both diverse and dynamic. We appreciate the significant role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples play in enriching Australian culture and society. We respect their resilience and strength and value the opportunity to learn from First Nations peoples. 

To effect change in government policies and practices, it is essential for all Australians to engage in multi-faceted actions. Our goal is to create a world where human rights and self-determination are fully realized. True reconciliation will be achieved when historical injustices no longer hinder the development of friendships, trust, and equitable outcomes.
