To us, reconciliation means coming together, building positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. A reconciled Australia looks like a unified community, where the cultures of First Nations peoples is respected. It feels friendly, warm and welcoming where every individual has a strong sense of identity and belonging. We strive to deepen our knowledge and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives, languages and histories, embedding our learnings into the service curriculum. We are committed to engaging with the local Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community groups as an important part of our reconciliation commitment.
