Goodstart Maroochydore Main Road acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, histories and perspectives. Our vision for reconciliation is for a future that recognises and respects Elders past, present and future for all the wisdom and knowledge they hold. We work to ensure that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel a sense of belonging in our Centre and that we develop positive relationships with the local First Nations community and actively respect their strong community connections with the Country on which our Centre stands. We will continue to raise awareness around the true histories and knowledges of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with our Centre and local community through working together, including the children, and collectively building our understanding for a better future based on relationships with all Australians thus supporting our Reconciliation Action Plan. We will endeavour to incorporate more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives within our room environments. Â
