We at Bright Horizons Hatton Vale are committed to developing our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culture and heritage. We acknowledge that children form an important role in the continuing of cultural celebration and customs, therefore we will provide children with opportunities to celebrate culture and build their knowledge of the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will build relationships with local community members to gain an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culture and heritage and to provide a culturally safe space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and community members. With this knowledge we will embed practices that celebrate and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we stand, paying respects to those past, present and emerging.     Â
