As educators, we feel strongly that it is our responsibility to ensure children grow to be respectful and understanding of First Nations peoples through embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our classrooms.
We aim for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to feel safe and supported at our center, building our connections with local First Nations communities. We commit to participating in events and professional development to build our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, traditions, beliefs, heritages, and values. We aim to embed our learnings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives throughout children's daily learning.
