VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Hills EarlyLearning Centre continues to deepen our commitment to reconciliation and to building meaningful relationships with First Nations peoples in our community. Our evolving journey is grounded in respect for the rich histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge and honour that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures are the oldest living and continuing cultures in the world. We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive learning environment where all children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging. Through our programs and daily practices, we intentionally and respectfully embed First Nations peoplesperspectives. We continue to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, connections to Country, and diverse identities within our centre. We believe that reconciliation is about equity, equality, respect, and truth-telling. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally appropriate early childhood education that supports all children to thrive. Our teaching practices continue to grow and evolve as we walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on this important journey.
