Goodstart Early Learning Flagstone recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we work play and learn. Our early learning centre is focused on providing equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children by engaging all children, educators, and indeed all members of the educational community with the importance of reconciliation, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures.
We acknowledge our connection we have with the oldest enduring culture, the First Nations Peoples, from the Land from which our early childhood educational environments have been created.
Our vision for reconciliation is for all people to respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Lands, cultures, spirituality, and traditions.
Goodstart Early Learning Flagstone's commitment to reconciliation is demonstrated by building partnerships based on trust, respect and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures as enduring, living cultures and we respect the cultural insights that are generously shared with us through the strong links between the Traditional Owners, Goodstart Early Learning Flagstone, children, families and local community.
