VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

C&K Canungra acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Land, their  continuing connection to land, sea, and community, and pays respect to Elders past, present, and future. We are committed to fostering and maintaining respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and contributions while building staff knowledge to support reconciliation and respectful relationships. Understanding First Nations peoples histories, cultures and contributions while building staff knowledge to support  our reconciliation journey. We value and respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and learning into our practices.A core aspect of our reconciliation journey is the Wangerriburra Cultural Trail, where children connect with local First Nations peoples histories, bush tucker, and traditional practices. Families join these visits, strengthening community ties.. Each year, children lead the Acknowledgement of Country, making it meaningful and empowering. We extend our reconciliation efforts beyond the kindergarten by providing nature-based cultural training for C&K educators and collaborating with our local school to integrate reconciliation practices across the community. Our ongoing reconciliation journey is a shared commitment to respect, understanding, and connection. Through embedding cultural practices into daily learning, we create a space where First Nations perspectives are recongised  and valued.
