Our vision for reconciliation is for all who are part of the Tree of Life Childcare and Kindergarten community to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia as we to form and maintain genuine, authentic relationships grounded in kindness, respect, and understanding. Â Through our program, we continue to promote equity, equality, inclusion, and the rich diversity of First Nations peoples and cultures. Â Tree of Life Childcare and Kindergarten acknowledges Australias colonial histories and the ongoing impact of intergenerational trauma experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Â We are dedicated to ensuring equal and equitable enrolment and participation opportunities for everyone, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families within our centre. We will continue to build and maintain strong connections with local Elders and community members, who so generously share their knowledge and guidance as we continue growing and deepening our understanding. Â Tree of Life Childcare and Kindergarten strives to remain actively engaged in our reconciliation journey, embedding respectful practices that embrace and actively engage with the cultures, histories, and perspectives of First Nations peoples. Â To uphold our vision of a culturally safe and inclusive environment, we will continue to place Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives at the heart of our curriculum, while supporting our educators to participate in quality professional learning that strengthens their confidence, awareness, and understanding. Â We will continue to nurture an environment that honours Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as knowledgeable, strong, and resilient peoples, whose contributions are vital to modern-day Australia.
