At Goodstart Early Learning Gaven, we recognize the profound importance of reconciliation and our role in ensuring that First Nations histories and knowledge are valued by our learning community and embedded into our environment and curriculum. Â Â We believe that children, educators, and families all have an essential part to play in our reconciliation journey. By engaging every member of our community, we help keep true histories and knowledge alive for generations to come. To achieve this, we are committed to reaching out to and consulting with local Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. They are the primary source of knowledges and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The insights we gain will allow us to create and implement genuine and meaningful programs for our children. Through these programs, children will develop a deeper awareness and respect for First Nations peoples' social and cultural heritages. Â Â We place the perspectives of First Nations Peoples at the core of our curriculum. In doing so, we commit to being role models who demonstrate respect and appreciation for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Â Â At Goodstart Early Learning Gaven, we will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives in our daily routines, practices, and environments. These efforts will reflect the perspectives of First Nations Peoples and their ongoing contributions to the nation. This approach will ultimately influence positive change, fostering a sense of respect and unity as we strive for genuine reconciliation together. Â Â Â Â Â
