Little Ducks Childcare Birkdale

At Little Ducks Childcare Birkdale, we are committed to actively learning and increasing educators, children's and the community’s knowledge of First Nations Peoples histories, cultures and perspectives to increase a shared national identity for reconciliation and unity, especially relating to Quandamooka Country where we work, live and play. We will respectfully embed  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and heritage in our curriculum to ensure the rich and diverse cultures and identities are represented in our daily ways of being and doing. We value reciprocal relationships with the Traditional Custodians of Quandamooka Land and caring for Country projects and will continue to seek out opportunities to bring this into learning environments as well as seeking information and connection within the community, creating space for mutual trust, respect and benefit to all. We are committed to providing a diverse range of environments, resources and opportunities for children, staff and families to learn about and care for the earth, wildlife especially those that we often are lucky to engage with in the greater community. It is our vision that with a new wave of educators coming to the service, that we provide a strong passion and drive for reconciliation, striving for equity and equality for all in a warm and inviting space as we continue to learn and grow together.
