Our vision is to visibly respect and honour the deep and ongoing connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with the Land, which always was and always will be Aboriginal Land. We believe children are powerful and capable voices in our journey toward reconciliation. We will listen to their questions, ideas, and wonderings as we walk together to build a shared understanding of Australia’s true histories. Together with children, families, and the wider community, we will create respectful and meaningful opportunities to learn about and connect with the rich cultures, stories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our daily practices and pedagogy. Our commitment to a reconciled Australia is grounded in genuine relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will embed reconciliation into the program and practices at Staverton.
