At Goodstart Indooroopilly Witton Road, our vision for reconciliation is to create a learning community where First Nations children, families, cultures, and histories are respected, represented, and deeply valued. We are committed to nurturing a place where all children feel a strong sense of belonging, identity, and connection to Country. Â We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing journey of learning, reflection, and meaningful action. Guided by Goodstarts RAP, EYLF 2.0, and the National Quality Standards, we aim to embed First nations perspectives every day into our curriculum, environments, and experiences in authentic, non-tokenistic ways. We aim to create a culturally safe environment where we ensure children, families, and educators feel seen, respected, and safe to express their identity. We challenge bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, and uphold Goodstarts Child Safe Standards. Â We commit to continuous learning as our educators engage in ongoing professional development to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, ways of knowing, being, and doing. We reflect regularly on our practice to ensure it aligns with reconciliation goals. We aim to honour Country and Culture. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we learn and play, and we teach children to care for Country through sustainable and culturally respectful practices. Â Â Â Â Reconciliation at Goodstart Indooroopilly is about building a future where every child grows up connected, confident, and culturally aware, where respect, truth-telling, and inclusion are part of everyday learning. Â We strive to be a place where children learn to value First Nations cultures as the longest continuing cultures in the world, and where families and educators walk together in a spirit of unity and understanding.Â
