VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Here at Goodstart Early Learning Clayfield, we respect the Land on which our service resides and acknowledge the Turrbal People as the Traditional Owners.

We respectfully embed First Nations peoples’ perspectives into our daily practices and programs, strengthening our connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' through being active members in the local community. We believe in striving for a reconciled Australia and raising awareness of the true histories of this nation, in both our Centre and in the wider community.

We actively acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, their diverse cultural values, languages, traditions and continuing contributions. We are always striving to learn more, continuing to work towards bringing together all peoples in unity and respectful engagement as we act against racism and discrimination. We strive to teach, and role model for, children about valuable life lessons as we strive to set an example of reconciliation, focusing on equality and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, staff, and the wider community.
