Our vision for reconciliation at Avenues Early Learning Centre Bowen Hills is founded on our commitment to deepening educators' knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We believe staff, children and families should have a strong understanding of the Country and culture of the local area, as well as the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Lands and cultures.   Â
We are committed to respectfully including the perspectives, histories, and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our early learning service. We will provide a culturally safe and welcoming environment that respectfully includes the cultures, perspectives and stories of Traditional Owners. We support educators, children, and families to engage with opportunities to learn about the importance of reconciliation through education as part of our shared community values.    Â
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we commit to deepening our understanding of the true histories of Australia and the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, striving to be a more inclusive and culturally responsive community. Â
We believe that through teaching the younger generation about reconciliation, we impact the way children think and act, ensuring we are providing an inclusive future for everyone.         Â
